The Elephant show is a very unique experience for visitors, especially the kids. They get a chance to watch the Elephants swim in a closed aquarium from a safe distance. The majestic animal floating and swimming in the clear blue waters is a beautiful and awe inspiring sight for the guests who are visiting. While the activity is available for visitors to enjoy all week, timings do vary according to the day of the visit. Week days have two scheduled Elephant shows, while visitors get to enjoy one of the three shows put on a weekend.
Penguins are the most exotic and weird birds, all at the same time. These exotic creatures pit a great show for the visitors as they march in front of the crowds. Guests cheer and wave at the adorable animals, as the Penguins make their way to the pool. Kids and adults both find the tiny step walk of these exotic penguins adorable. They after the parade enjoy eating their fishes from the pool, while spectators watch the whole feeding show. The Penguin Parade is scheduled for two times a day during weekdays and three times a day during weekends or holidays.
The Flying parade takes place in the second largest aviary of Asian continent. Nestled in the natural landscapes of the Open Zoo, this Bird Aviary is home to many exotic species of birds. One such is the Parakeet that steals the day with its spectacular Flying Parade. The group of birds fly and hover in a specific pattern, giving visitors a chance to get some amazing clicks. There are two shows scheduled for the parade in the Bird Aviary, each day for the entire week.
Seals are without any doubt one of the most adorable and friendly aquatic animals at the Open Zoo. The zoo houses these creatures in their natural habitat and visitors can learn a lot about them on their tour. The Seal feeding shows give the visitors a chance to feed these amazing animals by their own hands or just watch the trainers feed them from a distance if too scared to get near. The seals are super friendly and kids will love petting them while enjoying the experience entirely.
Designed to mimic the natural habitat of African regions, this thematic zone offers a safe haven to the species that are found abundantly in Savannah. The zone is home to many animals like East African oryxes, Grant's zebras, South African ostriches, white rhinoceros, giraffes, springboks, and impalas. Spread across two acres of land, animals get to roam freely in the thematic zone and feel like home. Visitors can feed many of these animals and watch them closely live in a natural habitat.
This park is home to a variety of beautiful and agile wild cats from throughout the world. Visitors can see 48 different species in eight different enclosures that cover a total of 40 acres. Each enclosure features natural habitats for each species, such as grasslands, deserts, plains, forests, marshes, and mountains. Get some great shots of the wild animals in their natural habitat and learn about their lifestyle as well as the animals themselves.
One of the most stunning zones in the Khao Kheow Open Zoo is the Bird Aviary. Visitors can walk around the aviary section, which is home to more than 80 different bird species. The aviary is two acres in size and features streams, ponds, waterfalls, and a variety of vegetation. This zone is ideal for tourists who want to enjoy the different birds in a natural setting
The Eld's Deer Park is a very relaxing and refreshing zone for the visitors. Watch the deers play and orange in their natural habitat as you are surrounded by more than one acre of lush greens. Kids especially enjoy playing around these gentle creatures and they even get to feed them, pet them and take photographs with them. Just sit back and relax, take in the scenery and watch the deers enjoy their natural habitat.

Best Time To Visit:Best time to visit the zoo is in the early morning as the weather is pleasant and it will be more comfortable to get around the zoo. The animals too are more active and well rested in the morning, therefore visitors can enjoy better interactions. Also, early in the morning the zoo is less crowded and visitors will not have to wait in a long queue for the Khao Kheow Open Zoo tickets.
